Are you already a member of CAMRA? If so, great, read on. Otherwise…
North Herts CAMRA members are a mixture of male and female, young and not-so-young … all sharing a love of good cask-conditioned beer, real cider and perry and enjoying visiting great pubs..
CAMRA North Hertfordshire is a branch of the national CAMRA organisation and serves all members who live in the branch area. If you are a CAMRA member who lives in or around Stevenage, Hitchin, Letchworth, Baldock or Royston (to follow the railway line!) or near the A10 from Royston to some way south of Buntingford, then you are a probably a member of our branch. To check out pubs in our area follow this link to the Hertfordshire CAMRA Branches Pub Database, (a county-wide tool, not our branch’s, so) select “North Hertfordshire” as the branch. If you choose ‘Display pubs on a Map’, then “Search” at the bottom to proceed, the function displays an error from Google, but click OK and it will work. Alternatively, choose ‘Display pubs as a List’ or ‘pub details’ in the top section and then click “Search” at the bottom of the page. You’ll see many other ways to search too.
There are over 1,000 of us North Herts members at the last count, and we’d love to see you at one of our socials & minibus trips, to visit pubs you might not otherwise try, get to know fellow members and share knowledge and stories about real ale, cider and perry.
You could also volunteer at our festivals. It’s great fun helping set up and/or staffing, whether that be welcoming visitors, serving behind the bars or at the tombola and merchandise stalls, and you get a bit of a discount on the drinks to spend when you’re off duty.
If you’re game, drop into our open branch meetings and socials to see how the branch is run and have the opportunity to voice your own opinions about real ale in North Hertfordshire.
