And the winner was Peter Barnes!
CONGRATULATIONS!
Rather nice as Peter was also a first time attendee at the Virtual Social. You never know how fate works!
These were the questions and the right answers:-
1. What is the highest ABV % of any Small Beer?
A. 1.7%
B. 2.7% – CORRECT
C. 3.7%
2. Where in London does Small Beer Brew Co. brew?
A. South Kensington
B. Southwark
C. South Bermondsey – CORRECT
3. Which of these is NOT used to make any Small Beer?
A. Wheat – CORRECT
B. Hops
C. Barley
Now that last one may spark a debate and, aside from the ‘judges’ decisions are final‘ clause, let us put the spark right out.
Even someone at Small Beer said that A and C are the same!
Well, their website says all the beers contain
“Water, malted barley, hops, oats & yeast”,
but there is a whole debate over the internet as to whether wheat and barley are the same.
We went with ‘not’. Knock yourselves out agreeing or not ;->
See you at the Open Branch Meeting on the 22nd and/or at August’s Social.
Both will be posted soon in the calendar.
