While pubs are now open – hooray – and we hope you’re going, we aren’t able to invite you to socials in person yet.
So, join CAMRA North Herts regulars virtually over Zoom, (see event of the same name), as we welcome Mike Jordan, Head Brewer of Butcombe Brewery, who will lead us through a tasting of some of their finest ales.
“Bristol born and made to stand out, Butcombe Brewing Co. began life at a time of cultural, social and political change, crafting beer before ‘craft beer’ was even a thing.
You see, at that time, no one was risking it all starting a brewery, making simple, premium, easy-drinking ale.”

Join us from wherever you are!
There are 12-bottle mixed cases of 4 different ales, of which we’ll taste three.
We suggested you club together as three mates and split a case.
If you are too far away from anyone else or missed the deadline, there are three sets still spare (Aug 5th AM) chez moi in Letchworth Garden City, SG6 2HJ – first come, first served.
After the tasting, we’ll stay around for a pub-like chat. All the usual suspect topics – ale & cider of course, how we’re replacing festivals and socials with virtual and semi-virtual activities, politics, sport, even still maybe football then, analysing the FA Cup and, given our situation, probably people’s staycation plans.
The first few tastings some of us did with CAMRA nationally were fun – Moor Beer, Small Beer and then, post July 4th, WooHa self-led outdoors with tasting notes and our own last social, wonderful entertained by Marisa and Chris from Kelchner Brewery.

Three newbies joined in last time and lived to tell the tale. Why not be one this time and bring some mates. We’d love to see you at this one.
