Greg Mileham asked us to share this:-
The annual beer festival is a huge part of Hitchin Round Table’s year from a fundraising point of view – last year we raised over £5,000 for local causes who rely on financial support from organisations like ours. Missing that opportunity at this year’s festival will be a big loss to them, and we’re doing our part to ensure that they still get the funds they need.
The social element of the festival is also immensely important. Round table is an organisation created to get like-minded men together to have fun and make a positive difference to their community. The beer festival is a great place for us to live out both of these values in one place as we work together to set up the marquee and serve customers, as well as hang out together enjoy the amazing selection of beers and ciders on offer!
Our members are still attending regular (virtual) meetings and we look forward to getting the go ahead from Boris to meet together for a drink once again. In the meantime, the virtual beer festival is a great opportunity to share our memories of previous years, and enjoy some local ales.
Stay safe and we’ll see you all next year!
