CAMRA North Hertfordshire is a branch of the national CAMRA organisation and serves all members who live in the branch area. The easiest way to check is by the map below, as it covers a much larger area than than the council district of North Hertfordshire.

North Herts CAMRA members are a mixture of male and female, young and not-so-young … all sharing a love of good cask-conditioned beer, real cider and perry and enjoying visiting great pubs.

There are nearly 1,000 of us North Herts members, and we’d love to see you at one of our socials & minibus trips, to visit pubs you might not otherwise try, get to know fellow members and share knowledge and stories about real ale, cider and perry.

To check out pubs in our area go to the WhatPub website (a national tool, for searching pub’s nationally.) You can use WhatPub? to rate the beers in the pubs – this helps us decide on the entries in our areas for the good beer guide. We are also now asking members to nominate a pub for entry into the next edition. Sign in to access the members only area to do this.

You could also volunteer at our festival, Hitchin. It’s great fun helping set up and/or staffing, whether that be welcoming visitors, serving behind the bars or at the tombola and merchandise stalls, and you get a bit of a discount on the drinks to spend when you’re off duty.

If you’re game, drop into our open branch meetings and socials to see how the branch is run and have the opportunity to voice your own opinions about real ale in North Hertfordshire.

The branch sends regular emails and the occasional letter to members keeping them informed about what is going on in the branch area.

• Check the “Personal Details” has your correct address and email address
• Check in the “Marketing Preferences” box that your preferences are set to green (slide right) for email and post options next to “I wish to be contacted by my local CAMRA branch on local events and activities.”

• Make any other changes to suit your preferences.
