The Plough at Kings Walden was under threat from a change of use planning application by its previous owners, Admiral Taverns. On May 24th after a lengthy battle they agreed to sell it to the Pilkington Farm Partnership who bought it for the community.
Adam Nicoll led the community in objecting to planning permission and liaising with Richard Pilkington of the PFP to fund the project.
We hope the pub will now be saved for a generation now that it has undergone such a fabulous and sensitive renovation by the Pilkington Farm Partnership team.
